A few years ago, Jamie was introduced to NITYR by her doctor who explained that NITYR contained the same active ingredient, nitisinone (NTBC), as her current medication, but that NITYR could be a more convenient option for her whilst balancing her busy college routine with her social life and favorite activities like basketball. She receives timely calls to check in on how she is doing, if she has enough medication on hand or if a shipment needs to be scheduled to her home, saving her the hassle of collecting the medication from the pharmacy. Something Jamie finds very beneficial and means she has one less thing to worry about.
In addition, Jamie has been utilizing the Patient Nutrition Program** to support her in adhering to the diet plan set out by her healthcare team. Jamie works closely with a Registered Dietitian at Cycle and can ask questions about her diet any time she has them.
